Cambridge Mini Mart Offering up Free Water

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – One Dorchester County convenience store is lending a hand to those struggling to deal with the heat.

Jones Mini Mart on Pine Street in Cambridge has been offering up free water bottles to members of the community as a way to help deal with the heat wave.

We met with the store manager about how they’ve been able to help keep people from suffering from the heat.

Store Manager, Rachelle Smith tells us, “You know, we don’t want anybody, falling out, passing out. And we have one woman, we had a lot of people come in here and get water yesterday for her because they say she could have possibly died if she stayed outside.”

Jones Mini Mart is planning to give away water to those in need as long as the heat wave continues.
