13-year-old charged with possession of firearm at school in Milford
MILFORD, Del. – A Milford Central Academy student has been charged following an incident on Monday.
We’re told that during the school day, a student at the school notified school administration of a photo with a 13-year-old student displaying what appeared to be a firearm. The subsequent investigation led officials to find an unloaded handgun in his possession, which was immediately secured by the School Resource Officer. The student was not found to be in possession of any ammunition.
The 13-year-old male student was charged with possession/purchase/control or own a deadly weapon person under 18, carrying a concealed deadly weapon a firearm, terroristic threatening, and possession of a weapon in a safe recreation zone. The student was turned over to a parent with a pending court date.
