WOR WIC Community College prepares for special commencement

(SALISBURY, MD) – Wor-Wic Community college is preparing for a special commencement later this week.

The college is holding their 2025 Spring commencement Wednesday night at the Wicomico County Civic Center.

Wor-Wic Dean of Success Kimberly Purvis says this year’s commencement is special, as it kicks off the school’s 50th anniversary.

Purvis says the celebration will honor more than 200 students as well as members of the community.

Purvis tells us, “It is so exciting, so special. We want to celebrate the great work that’s happened in this community for 50 years, and no better place to do it than at commencement. Recognizing the accomplishments of our students, where they have been and where they are going. So a lot of great things happening tomorrow evening.”

The commencement ceremony will be open to the public and starts at 7 P.M.
