Wor Wic Joins Md Transfer Intensive

SALISBURY, Md. – While their latest class has graduated, Wor-Wic Community College is taking another step forward in helping students.

For Wor-Wic students, a lot of possibilities are going to open up for them as the community college is joining the Maryland Transfer Intensive.

The Transfer Intensive is going to take place over the course of the next seven years, as Wor-Wic will be one of 25 colleges to give a boost to those looking to get their bachelor’s degrees and find work in Maryland.

Wor-Wic Community College President, Dr. Deborah Casey said in a statement quote, “The Maryland Transfer Intensive reflects Wor-Wic’s commitment to supporting local students in achieving their academic goals, strengthening Maryland’s workforce, and supporting the state’s commitment to higher education.”

This program is going to benefit Wor-Wic students as they’ll have more options for transfers.

Currently, the community college has transfer paths to the schools of engineering and nursing at the University of Maryland College Park.

Wor Wic joins Salisbury University as one of the other Eastern Shore colleges in the Maryland Transfer Intensive.
