Wicomico Co. Health Dept. hosting reduced-cost rabies clinic

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – The Wicomico County health department is getting ready to host a rabies clinic.

Health officials stress the importance of having your pet vaccinated, especially if they go outdoors. The clinic is at a reduced cost, so folks in need can easily access the resource.

Rabies program coordinator, Tim Burke encourages everyone who has a pet to join them at the clinic, for that extra layer of protection.

“It’s important to have your pets vaccinated for rabies. It’s a safety thing, always. It’s very important to do it; it’s $10 a pet, dogs, cats and ferrets,” said Burke.

The clinic will take place on May 17th from 12-2pm at health department’s building in Downtown Salisbury.
