Teens arrested for shooting in Laurel
LAUREL, Del. – Police have arrested two teens in connection to a shooting in Laurel Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after 12 p.m., Delaware State Police and Laurel Police were called to the 30000 block of Seaford Road for a reported shooting. It was learned that two men were walking on Seaford Road at the same time a vehicle was driving northbound on Seaford Road, near Discount Land Road. Preliminary investigation revealed that one of the suspects allegedly fired shots at the vehicle as it passed. The vehicle was not hit, and nobody in the vehicle was injured.
Detectives were able to identify the suspects as a 14-year-old and 15-year-old, both of Laurel. The pair were taken into custody a short time later after they were found in the area.
The 14-year-old was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of ammunition by a person under 18, three counts of first three reckless endangerment, and second degree conspiracy. He was held at the Stevenson House Detention Center on a $125,000 cash bond.
The 15-year-old was charged with three counts of first degree reckless endangering and second degree conspiracy, and was held at the Stevenson House Detention Center on a $125,000 cash bond.
