Student arrested for social media threat in Somerset Co.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – A Princess Anne man has been charged following a threat of mass violence investigation in Somerset County.

We’re told the investigation began on Tuesday, when School Resource Officers at Washington High School were alerted to a threat of mass violence posted on social media by a student. Investigators were able to quickly identify the suspect as 18-year-old Corey White.

Police responded to White’s home, where he was subsequently arrested and charged with making a threat of mass violence. He is currently being held without bond.
