St. Michaels man arrested in connection to Salisbury shooting
SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury Police have arrested a St. Michaels man in connection to a shooting last week.
At around 10:45 p.m. on April 25th, officers were called to the 600 block of N. Division Street for multiple reports of shots fired. It was learned that two nearby homes, which were occupied at the time, were hit by apparent gunfire. A canine inside of the homes was reportedly hit and killed during the incident.
Further investigation determined that the suspect, 30-year-old Ri’tell Dodd allegedly fired a handgun in the direction of the homes in the area. He was arrested with the assistance of the St. Michaels Police Department on Wednesday and has been charged with possession of a regulated firearm while prohibited, handgun on person, and reckless endangerment.
