Salisbury man sentenced for sexually abusing two minors
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man has been sentenced for sexually abusing minors.
34-year-old Angel Ortego-Gonzalez pleaded guilty to sex abuse of a minor and two counts of third degree sex offense, and was subsequently sentenced to 45 years behind bars.
Between 2018 and 2022, Ortega-Gonzalez sexually abused two minor children, one of whom was under the age of 17 and the other was under the age of 10. We’re told he evaded custody for two years until he was eventually apprehended by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
On release, Ortega-Gonzalez will be subject to lifetime sex offender supervision and will be required to register as a Tier III sex offender for life.
