Princess Anne official charged in criminal indictment
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – WMDT has learned that Town of Princess Anne Commission President Lionel Frederick has been charged with rifle/shotgun possession with felony conviction and illegal possession of ammunition.
Details are limited at this time. The charges reportedly stem from a criminal indictment issued late last month.
In a release, the Town of Princess Anne said Lionel Frederick was served with a criminal indictment on Monday.
Town Manager Jay Prouse said, “As this matter involves pending legal proceedings, the Town will not speculate or offer comment regarding the allegations or circumstances surrounding the indictment.”
Prouse goes on to write, “We emphasize that the principle of presumed innocence applies to all individuals facing criminal charges. The Town remains fully operational and dedicated to providing consistent and effective service to the community.”
