Pair charged with attempted murder in Federalsburg
FEDERALSBURG, Md. – The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office says two people have been charged in connection to a recent attempted murder investigation.
We’re told the incident took place shortly before 12 p.m. Monday, in the town of Federalsburg. It was reported that Seaford Police in Delaware had responded to a report of a 20-year-old female who was dropped off at TidalHealth Nanticoke with multiple stab wounds. Police learned that the incident took place during an altercation in a parking lot in Federalsburg, during which a 16-year-old allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times. Both suspects then reportedly took the victim to the hospital before fleeing the scene.
The victim sustained life threatening injuries but is currently in stable condition.
The 16-year-old has been arrested and charged as an adult with attempted first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure. The juvenile is being held without bond.
A second suspect, 29-year-old Franky Florestal, has been charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to attempted first degree murder. He is also being held without bond.
