Pair arrested for burglary, theft in Sussex Co.
SEAFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a Bridgeville pair in connection to a residential burglary in Seaford last week.
On Friday, troopers were called to the 24000 block of German Road for a reported burglary, learning that earlier in the weekn, unknown suspects had reportedly broken into the home and stolen electronics, power tools, automotive parts, welding equipment, and fishing rods. The value of the stolen items was determined to be over $12,000.
Detectives were able to identify the suspects as 33-year-old Robert Layton and 31-year-old Jasmine Rokos, who were both taken into custody during a search warrant at a residence on Laverty Lane in Bridgeville on Monday. During the search, police reportedly found stolen items from the burglary, a .410 gauge shotgun, a .22 caliber rifle, a stolen .25 caliber handgun, and drug paraphernalia.
Layton, a convicted felon, was charged with multiple offenses, including second degree burglary, theft $1500 or greater, and several firearm and drug possession charges. He was held at SCI on an $80,600 secured bond.
Rokos was charged with second degree burglary, theft $1500 or greater, second degree conspiracy, and other related charges, and was released on her own recognizance.
