Lewes Drawbridge to close for emergency repairs Wednesday night

LEWES, Del. – DelDOT says there will be lane closures and a full closure of the Lewes Drawbridge on Savannah Road Wednesday night for emergency repairs.

We’re told the westbound lane will be closed starting at midnight and will be under flagger control. Starting at 2 a.m., the bridge will fully close for repairs, and is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Friday.

Motorists will be detoured to Theo C. Freeman Memorial Highway.
