Go Green OC is inviting residents to celebrate one million pounds of food waste diverted in Ocean City
OCEAN CITY, Md. – You can help go green in Ocean City on Friday.
Go Green OC is hosting a celebration at the convention center for diverting its one-millionth pound of food waste.
That is a first for the Eastern Shore, and many state and local officials will help honor the occasion.
Residents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the Go Green Campaign.
Founder Josh Chamberlain said this milestone is worth celebrating. “To have the backing of the town of Ocean City, and also our representatives, and state representatives, means a lot to us; It’s a great collaboration between us and them, and it shows Ocean City wants to be sustainable, and we’re helping them lead the way.”
The event starts at 1pm on May 23rd.
