Emerging Leader: Lolanta

WMDT – It’s Monday and that means it’s time to introduce you to a new emerging leader!

Lolanta is a 13-year-old prodigy, a singer and a songwriter that was recently featured on the EP album Just Call Me by Name by the Daniels Music Foundation.

She stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to tell us how she’s inspiring the music world.

We’re told that Lolanta began singing as a way to connect more with her older brother and now two years later she is a successful artist.

She says that her school music teacher encouraged her to submit a video audition for a competition being held by the Daniels Music Foundation, which works with people with disabilities.

When she won, she performed at the Danny Awards which is a concert held annually for the winners.
