Drug investigation and search leads to multiple arrests in Frankford

FRANKFORD, Del. – Two men and a teen have been arrested on charges stemming from a search warrant in Frankford last week.

On Thursday, police say they executed a search warrant at a residence in the 28000 block of Gum Tree Road following an investigation into three people, identified as 56-year-old Calvin Wescott, 35-year-old Jerome Wescott, and a 17-year-old male, for the alleged distribution of illegal narcotics from the residence. Detectives reportedly saw Calvin and Jerome leave the residence prior to the search, and detained an additional seven people inside the residence, including the 17-year-old. A child was also present at the time.

During the search, investigators found approximately 162.35 grams of marijuana, approximately .09 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 2.07 grams of heroin, 6 pregabalin pills, and digital scales.

Calvin was charged with maintaining a drug property, second degree conspiracy, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug offense with a child in the dwelling, two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released after posting a $10,000 secured bond.

Jerome was charged with knowingly operating a clandestine laboratory, two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second degree conspiracy, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug offense with a child in the dwelling, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting a $12,000 secured bond.

The 17-year-old male was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity, second degree conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug offense with a child in the dwelling, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was released to a parent/guardian on his own recognizance.

One of the seven individuals in the home was arrested on misdemeanor offenses.
