Delaware State Housing Authority’s Homebuyers Fair returns next month

DOVER, Del. – The Delaware State Housing Authority is announcing the return of its Homebuyers Fair next month.

This will be the first time they’ve hosted the fair since 2019.

DSHA welcomes folks to come in and learn about the home-buying process.

Visitors can meet one-on-one with leaders, real estate agents, closing attorneys, home inspectors and more.

They will also provide educational classes learning about DSHA’s financing options, including assistance with down payments and closing costs.

“Potential homeowners are going to want to come out so that they can see services that are available for them to purchase homes,” said Megan Faries, Housing Mortgage Administrator with Delaware State Housing Authority. “Right now affordability is such an issue, it’s all over, that’s what we hear about, it’s so difficult to purchase things, it’s so difficult to save. Delaware State Housing Authority is here to help folks and we really want them to know that.”

The event will be held from 9 am to 3 pm on June 21st at the University of Delaware’s Clayton Hall Conference Center, 100 Hollowell Dr., Newark, Delaware.

The event is free and open to the public.

Breakfast and lunch will be offered and there will be activities for kids.
