Delaware Right to Life to host Walk for Life next month
DOVER, Del. – Next month, pro-life advocates will be hosting a Walk for Life in Dover.
Organizers have been holding the event in Dover since Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022.
This year the group will meet at the replica of the Liberty Bell on the Green near Legislative Hall.
They will hold a rally and say they want to demonstrate that there is a strong pro-life movement in the state.
Organizers will also be collecting 2,445 pairs of baby shoes, which they say represents the number of abortions performed in 2022 in Delaware.
“We are trying to raise awareness that Delaware is a horrible place for a baby,” said Moira Sheridan, Delaware Right to Life President. “They have approximately a one in three, between one and three and one in four chance of making it out of the womb, or being killed in the womb, so abortion is a big business in Delaware, it’s protected by the Legislature and it’s protected by the city, it’s protected by the state.”
The Walk for Life will be held June 5 from 1 to 3 pm.
