Crisfield celebrating patriotism, civic pride through “Show Your Colors” project

CRISFIELD, Md. – If you’re looking to celebrate unity, patriotism and civic pride, look no further than Crisfield.

The city is displaying that through its “Show Your Colors” project.

150 American flags were donated by the Crisfield Lions Club.

They will be shown at the Crisfield Depot and other parts of the city throughout the year.

The displays will honor key local events and the contributions of dedicated citizens.

They will also be rotated out during specific holidays and celebrations

“It brings generations of Crisfield residents together, it preserves traditions, age-old traditions, instills pride and strengthens the community’s visual identity,” said La Fabian Marshall with the City of Crisfield. “It’s a reminder that even small towns and small cities such as the City of Crisfield have big hearts and deep roots.”

The “Show Your Colors” project originally started in the 1990s under the former Crisfield Kiwanis Club.

The club disbanded in the early 2000s and the Crisfield Lions Club stepped in to make sure the tradition carried on.
