Burglary leads to arrest of one in Dover
DOVER, Del. – A Dover man is behind bars on multiple charges stemming from a burglary earlier this week.
Shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, officers were contacted by the victim who reported that two unknown suspects were unlawfully entering the victim’s apartment in the 200 block of Isabelle Isle. Police arrived at the scene to find two suspects in the stairwell, who subsequently ran back into the victim’s apartment when they saw officers. One of the suspects was seen jumping off a second floor balcony, trying to run away, but was quickly taken into custody.
The second suspect was not located.
25-year-old Gabriel Santiago was charged with second degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, second degree conspiracy, theft under $1500, criminal mischief under $5000, and resisting arrest. He was held at $9,900 secured bail.
