Big Brother Big Sister discusses upcoming events for kids on Good Morning Delmarva

WMDT – Big Brother Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore is hosting two upcoming events to help support the youth in our community.

They will have a fundraiser called bowl for kids’ sake and their eastern shore golf classic on June 16th.

This morning, their fundraising coordinator, Alison Wright stopped by to tell us more.

We’re told that Big Brother Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore has been serving the community for over 40 years, and they offer a 1-on-1 mentorship program.

Wright says that 90% of the kids that participate have seen an improvement in their decision making, self-confidence, and more!

The bowl for kids’ sake and their eastern shore golf classic are a part of the organization’s efforts to provide enrichment events to all 9 counties.

It’s an opportunity for kids to gain access to resources they may need and a chance to bring the community together.

The bowl for kids’ sake event will take place at three different locations: Alley Oops Midtown, Choptank Bowling, and Easton Bowl.
