Armed robbery at Laurel fast food restaurant under investigation

rmLAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Laurel fast food restaurant Monday afternoon.

At around 3 p.m., troopers were called to a reported armed robbery at Hardee’s, located at 30759 Sussex Highway. It was learned that an unknown man allegedly entered the drive-thru, displayed a gun at the employee, and demanded money from the register. The employee complied, and the suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash.

The employee was not injured.

The suspect is described as an unknown man, driving a dark colored Honda passenger car with damage to the driver’s side front, displaying Maryland registration 6DA1892.
