ACLU Del. gearing up for Lobby Day

DOVER, Del. – And the ACLU is gearing up for Lobby Day.

Members of the organization will be lobbying outside of Legislative Hall in Dover, calling for better access to resources once an individual enters the probation system, prison reform, and they’ll be opposing the death penalty in the First State.

Crystal Chatman said those systems have great impacts on individuals and families, so they’re using their voices to call on state lawmakers to consider the issues for the next legislative session.

“People get to see where and how we get laws changed, how the process goes, it’s an amazing, educational, informational day,” said Chatman.

Members will be lobbying on May 13th from 11am-2pm. Chatman encourages anyone who is interested in these issues to join them.
