A local group ‘eRace the Stigma’ is looking to erase stigma around mental health with 5k run

SALISBURY, Md. – May is Mental Health Awareness month. To promote wellbeing, the 7th annual eRace the Stigman 5k run and walk will take place Friday, starting at the Wicomico Civic Center.

Organizers want to raise awareness about support, resources, and education.

Members of the non-profit want the community to know the importance of mental health, and end any stigma around getting care.

Planning Committee Member, Cathy Diekmann, said people are struggling and not alone in the fight. “Erase the Stigma is an opportunity for community members to gather, have a good time, seek support, and receive resources and information about mental health awareness.”
