Two vehicles damaged in Dover shooting, police investigating

DOVER, Del. – Two vehicles were damaged by gunfire in Dover Monday afternoon.

Just before 4 p.m., officers received a call from a victim stating that their car had been hit by gunfire in the 800 block of West North Street. Further investigation revealed that the victim was walking on West North Street when their vehicle was hit by gunfire in the area of Simon Circle. It was also learned that a second occupied vehicle was hit during the incident.

No injuries were reported. Officers found two handguns in the area during a subsequent search.
