WMDT – It’s almost May which happens to be brain tumor awareness month!

We sat down with a TidalHealth neurosurgeon, Dr. Amiel Bethel, on Good Morning Delmarva who shared how the disease impacts us and what resources are available.

We’re told over 18 thousand people were diagnosed with brain tumors this year alone.

TidalHealth wants people to be aware of the incidence of brain tumors and where those who need help can find support.

Organizations such as the National Brain Tumor Society are helping patients and their families by sponsoring events you can attend.

Many events focus on funding research to find better treatments and cures.
