DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested three people, including two juveniles, following a shooting and vehicle chase Saturday morning.

Shortly before 8 a.m., officers were called to the area of Barrister Place and South Little Creek Road for a reported shooting. At the scene, officers met with the 15-year-old and 14-year-old victims, learning that they were walking in the parking lot of the Country Farms Store when a white Kia Optima pulled in and four men wearing all black and black masks allegedly got out of the car. One of the suspects was reportedly armed with a revolver-type handgun and pointed it at the victims before shooting in the direction of the victims before leaving.

No injuries were reported.

Following the shooting, the white Kia Optima was found abandoned in a parking lot of a car dealership in Goldsboro. Detectives learned that the Kia had previously been reported stolen out of Camden, Delaware, and while at the dealership, the suspects allegedly stole a black Hyundai Elantra.

At around 4:30 p.m. that same day, officers saw a black Hyundai Elantra without a license plate driving in the area of Capital Green. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the suspects failed to stop and led police on a chase throughout Dover and Camden before ending in the area of Willow Grove Road and Mahan Corner Road, at which time a 15-year-old, 16-year-old, and 18-year-old Leslie McGuire were all taken into custody. It was also learned that McGuire and the 16-year-old were wanted on motor vehicle theft charges by Delaware State Police, and McGuire was also wanted by Dover Police for motor vehicle theft.

McGuire was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, two counts of first degree reckless endangerment, aggravated menacing, illegal gang participation, receiving stolen property over $1,500, and second degree conspiracy. He was held at SCI on a $47,000 cash bail.

The 16-year-old male and 15-year-old male were both held at the Stevenson House Detention Center on a list of charges.
