The old United States Post Office in Downtown Salisbury is up for sale

SALISBURY, Md. – An update on the sale of a federal building in downtown Salisbury. The Maude R Toulson federal building was a former post office put up for sale by the Trump Administration.

It’s one of 443 properties, across 47 states recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. Officials said the building was unfit for federal workers because of funding deficiencies.

Salisbury Mayor Randy Taylor hopes the city will be involved in the selling process. “My suspicion is that they will do a RFP(Request for proposal) but my suspicion is that the post office will stay. But it’s a key part of our downtown, and we certainly would want to guide that process.”
