Special Event Zone in effect for Cruisin’ Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City Police say the Town will be designated as a Special Event Zone during the Cruisin’ Ocean City event.

From Tuesday, April 29th through Sunday, May 4th, speed limits will be reduced and fines for violations will be increased. Legislation signed in 2020 also allows for enhanced penalties for specific motor vehicle violations.

Offenders could face higher fines or even arrest, depending on the offense.

Additionally, the Town of Ocean City has enacted a resolution that designates specific dates for enhanced paid parking rates and penalties, which will be in effect from May 1st through 4th. These enhanced parking penalties focus on prohibited parking areas to improve traffic flow, parking compliance, and enforcement during high-attendance periods.
