Somerset County EMS looking to hire EMTs and Paramedics

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Somerset County Emergency Medical Services are looking to hire EMTs and Paramedics under contract.

Currently, the department has eight EMTs and Paramedics in addition to four part time staff.

They’re looking to hire four more EMTs and four more Paramedics, as well as more part timers.

Recently, Princess Anne Emergency Services reduced its work in the county and Somerset EMS took on some of those members.

But, they need more hands on deck.

“As of right now the employees that were with Princess Anne, most of them have come on with the county and then there are some vacancies that we do need to fill and we’re just looking to supplement the people that came on with us already,” said Joel Dixon with Somerset County EMS.
