Somerset Co. pole barn fire deemed accidental

MARION STATION, Md. – A pole barn fire in Somerset County has been ruled accidental.

The fire was reported just after 8:30 a.m. Sunday, at 30371 Marumsco Road. Crews were able to control the blaze in roughly one hour.

Maryland State Fire Marshals say the fire was caused by an electrical failure inside the barn. Total damage has been estimated at $250,000.
