Seahawks boy’s lacrosse tames the Lions in Berlin
BERLIN, Md. – Stephen Decatur boy’s lacrosse took down Queen Anne’s 14-4 in Berlin on Wednesday.
The Seahawks jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first quarter, but the scoring slowed down as the teams went into halftime with Queen Anne’s trailing 4-2.
In the third quarter the Seahawks offense came alive, scoring 6 unanswered goals before a late tally from the Lions made it 10-3 heading into the final period.
Decatur finished the game strong, outscoring Queen Anne’s 4-1 for a final score of 14-4.
After the game, Head Coach Hoffy Hoffman explained the second half adjustments that lead to their big 3rd quarter: “We told them to stop throwing the bombs and work the ball around and run through our plays, that’s it. We’re a run and gun team, they love to play the fast-paced game…All-in-all I feel the boys played well, our defense played great, goalie played well, and we were able to dictate [Queen Anne’s] possessions, so I’m happy overall.”
