Pair arrested following drug investigation in OC
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Two people are behind bars in Ocean City following a drug investigation during the month of February.
Numerous law enforcement agencies initiated a controlled dangerous substance distribution investigation into a local man, identified as 43-year-old Patrick Sabatino. It was alleged that Sabatino was selling crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine from his residence on Colonial Road in Ocean City. During the investigation, Sabatino reportedly sold CDS to an undercover narcotics detective on several occasions.
A search and seizure warrant was subsequently obtained for his residence, which was executed on April 3rd. During the search, police found seven individuals inside, a majority of whom were allegedly known to law enforcement and had prior histories of drug use. A trace amount of CDS and paraphernalia, cash, and multiple cell phones were seized from the residence.
Sabatino and a second individual, identified as 39-year-old Rebecca Bivans, were both arrested following the search. Sabatino was charged with seven counts of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, while Bivans was charged with an outstanding violation of probation warrant. Both were held without bond.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police say there is the potential for additional CDS related charges.
