National Fentanyl Awareness Day is April 29th.
WICOMICO COUNTY- Md. To raise awareness about the ongoing fentanyl crisis, Wicomico County Health Department will be participating in National Fentanyl Awareness Day on April 29, 2025, by wearing purple.
In collaboration with numerous organizations nationwide, the Wicomico Health Department are committed to safeguarding lives from the dangers posed by illicit fentanyl. Although recent data indicates some progress in decreasing overdose deaths, fentanyl continues to represent a significant threat to our communities, particularly to our community members aged 55+ and people of color.
The Health Department encourages you to take action by:
● Learning the facts about today’s drug landscape
● Starting conversations with your family about fentanyl safety
