Maryland State Police arrest a Fruitland man in connection to a death investigation

FRUITLAND, Md- Maryland State Police have arrested 40 year old Brandt John Roberts of Fruitland.  Roberts is charged with first and second-degree murder in connection to the death of 27 year old Albert Joseph Vacovsky III of Fruitland.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on April 25, officers from the Fruitland Police Department responded to a home on the 200 block of Camden Avenue in Fruitland for a death investigation. Officers found Vacovsky deceased inside the residence.

Officers later arrested Brandt John Roberts and took him to the Wicomico County Detention Center.

Maryland State Police’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Fruitland Police Department and the Salisbury Police Department.  This investigation remains active and ongoing.
