Local org. uplifting nonprofits with grant funding

MARYLAND. – The Beach to Bay Heritage Area is encouraging nonprofits to apply for their mini grants.

The organization has awards up to $5,000 and they’re for local groups working to better the environment.

Officials said this helps give nature lovers the boost they need to do essential work in our community. Applications are due by May 30th.

“This program is really good at encouraging and helping out smaller nonprofits, kind of highlighting their stories and what they have to share with not only residents, but people outside of Maryland,” said Andre Nieto Jaime.

You can find the application on BeachesBaysWaterWays.org. Grants will be awarded in July.
