Lake Forest rolls over Seaford for first win of the season
SEAFORD, Del. – Lake Forest baseball picked up its first win of the season on the road against the Seaford Bluejays on Tuesday.
The Spartans jumped in the game early. With senior William Noelle on the mound, they built a 12-3 lead by the end of the 3rd inning.
Lake didn’t look back from there, scoring four in the top of the 6th to make the lead 17-5. They beat Seaford in six innings to move to 1-2, notching their first victory of the year.
Head Coach Corey Wyatt after the game said, “It’s big for this group because we’re a very young team, replaced a lot of starters from last year. We’ve had two really close games, played really tough, so to come out here and get a win is big for our program going forward…Offensively we swung the bat pretty well. We got a lot of walks, we ran the bases fairly decent. Pitching threw a lot of strikes so that kept us in the game for a while there.”
