INVISTA announces it will not sell business

SEAFORD, Del. – Textile manufacturer INVISTA has announced it will not sell the business.

It was announced last year that the company was exploring strategic alternatives for its downstream nylon fibers business, including its Seaford facility. On Wednesday, INVISTA told employees that it will hold the business despite significant interest.

We’re told the conclusion was reached after a thorough process that determined that INVISTA can create the most long term value for the company by retaining ownership.
