Hit-and-run leads to DUI arrest in Frederica
FREDERICA, Del. – A Milford man has been arrested following a hit-and-run crash in Frederica Wednesday evening.
Just after 6 p.m., troopers were called to the 1000 block of Buffalo Road for a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a silver minivan that hit a fence. While troopers were responding to the call, they reportedly saw a silver Mazda 5 with front end damage driving northbound on South Dupont Highway near West Lebanon Road. Troopers pulled the vehicle over and contacted the driver, identified as 26-year-old Damian Lee, who showed multiple signs of impairment.
It was learned that the Mazda hit a fence and drove through the front yards of two residents, nearly hitting two children. No injuries were reported.
Lee was charged with two counts of first degree reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended/revoked license, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and multiple traffic violations. He was later released on a $10,800 unsecured bond.
