First State Educate to host ‘Know your Candidates’ forum series for school board elections

DELAWARE. – First State Educate is continuing the ‘Know Your Candidates’ forum series’ for school board elections. The forum is a series of virtual and in-person forums designed to inform Delaware voters ahead of the May 13th statewide elections.

Forums give candidates a chance to share their ideas, talk about education topics, and respond to community questions.

First State Educate Executive Director Julia Keleher said this is how you engage a community on important issues.

“This election is how you influence Delaware Public Schools. I think we’re moving away from merely complaining about the issues, and now doing something about it.”

According to Keleher, the group’s objective is to gather more than 6,000 votes from school districts statewide.
