Emerging Leader: Ethan Hislop

WMDT – It’s Monday which means it’s time to introduce you to a new emerging leader.

The Ocean City Film Festival returned this year on March 6th through 9th.

Ethan Hislop, a graduate of Stevenson University’s film and moving image program, had his first short film featured at this year’s festival twice.

His film “Loser Date Premium”, it’s been getting stellar feedback.

It’s a unique and funny spin on the realities of dating online.

We sat down with Ethan who tells us how his short film got started and what it felt like to see his work featured at the Ocean City Film Festival.

Loser Date Premium was also selected for the Annapolis Film Festival and was featured there in late March.

We’re told Hislop’s main goal with the short film is just getting as many people as possible to see it and enjoy it.

He says it has been a surreal experience seeing all of the success his former class assignment has received.
