Early morning Lincoln house fire ruled accidental

LINCOLN, Del. – An early morning house fire in Lincoln has been ruled accidental.

Firefighters were called to the 10000 block of Ryans Run shortly after 7:30 a.m. Officials say the home was occupied at the time of the fire, but all occupants were able to escape safely.

An investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the fire began in a bedroom and was caused by a juvenile playing with a lighter and igniting available combustibles. The juvenile was referred to the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Program.
