DCPS online registration for Pre-K through kindergarten now open

DORCHESTER CO., Md. – Dorchester County Public Schools online registration for PreK through 3 through kindergarten is now open.

To register, you must provide proof of age, residence and relationship to student.

You must also have up to date immunization records.

PreK-3 and PreK-4 students also need proof of income for all adults residing in the household.

As a reminder, PreK-3 slots are limited and are only offered at Sandy Hill, Maple, Vienna and Hurlock Elementary Schools.

“Families that have all of their documents in, they are considered first, so you have to have all your documents in to be considered for a slot for PreK-3 or PreK-4 and then we start notifying families after July 1st if they’re received a spot in PreK-3 or PreK-4,” said Julie Lewis, Supervisor of Early Childhood Education. “Kindergarten is compulsory so it’s required by the state of Maryland so everyone gets a slot in kindergarten.”

If you have questions, reach out to Julie Lewis at 410-228-4747 extension 1035.
