UPDATE: Crash in Rehoboth Beach leaves one dead

4/1 UPDATE: Delaware State Police have identified the victim in this crash as 66-year-old Antonia Walton.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred this morning in Rehoboth Beach.

Around 8 am, on March 31, 2025, a 76-year-old man was backing a Dodge Ram onto the sidewalk in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 18922 Rehoboth Mall Boulevard. A 66-year-old woman, who was standing behind the truck and attempting to guide the driver, was struck and pinned against the building when the vehicle reversed.

The woman, a Rehoboth Beach resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not injured.
