Cooking with Lynn: sardines & peppers

WMDT – We are back in Lynn Matava’s kitchen!

Lynn is a nutrition educator with the University of Maryland Extension and has a way you can serve sardines and peppers.

We’re told that sardines are an international pantry staple because it’s 20 percent of your daily calcium.

It’s also packed full of vitamin D which is rare and usually comes from the sun.

Another great thing about Sardines is that they are relatively inexpensive.

Lynn says you can roast or toast sardines to make them crispy then add vegetables such as peppers for added flavor.
