Boys & Girls Club provide treats ahead of Easter Sunday

 

SALISBURY, Md. – The Boys & Girls Club made sure the kids in their community had some treats to eat Easter Sunday.

Egg-citment

Over 60 Kids went searching eggs donated by Walmart for the Salisbury Boy & Girls Club’s Truitt Community Center’s first annual Egg hunt!

Walmart Store Manager Shannon Argy says they are just happy to help. “We love helping our local residents in the community and to bring joy to children… We donated lots of easter goodies approximately, just over 1,000 eggs for the 60 plus kids, 4 grand prized baskets.”

Egg-traordinary 

Kids were allowed to grab up to 15 eggs filled with sweet treats, and 4 golden eggs were hidden among the thousand. Club members Ava Wilson tell us why she enjoys this event. “I have friends, and I get to meet new people and have fun.”

Zion Christopher was one of the 4 who won the golden egg and received a prize basket. He tells us why this holiday is important to him.
“I like Easter because I get to have resurrection Sunday.”

Egg-celent 

Boys & Girls Club Manager Enaka Beteck was excited to bring this event to their new location and is thankful he could help the children of the community. “An event like this, it just shows that we care about the kids, care about the youth and that we’re just trying to do something for them.”
