Blades is looking to renovate the public park and needs community resident’s help

BLADES, Del. – The town of Blades is looking to redesign the public park. The park has been a mainstay for over 40 years and the town.

Town officials are looking to upgrade the park by making it ADA compliant and adding new amenities. These amenities include a pickle ball court, basketball court, and game tables for checkers and chess.

They will discuss the re-design at a town council meeting on May 12th at the Blades Volunteer Fire Company. Councilwoman Sharon Alston urges residents to get involved. “Our public park in Blades is older relative to some parks that surround us.”

“I think as part of the process, what’s important to me is to have as much community input into the design as possible.”
