$13 million available to support opioid crisis projects in Delaware
DELAWARE – Applications are open for round 3 of grant funding under the Delaware Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission.
Around $13 million is available to support projects addressing the opioid crisis in the state.
Organizations around Delaware will be able to use the money for programs and services supporting those battling addiction and harm prevention.
In particular, those in the state’s ten highest risk zip codes for overdoses, programs for formerly incarcerated or housing-insecure people, as well as initiatives offering evidence-based addiction treatment.
“I think it’s especially important now with the threat of federal funding being frozen or state budget squeezes that these organizations have an outlet to ensure that they’re services continue despite the tight budgets now and potentially in the future,” said Bradley Owens, Director of the Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission.
The Commission is offering micro-grants, mini and general grants.
The deadline for applications is May 19th.
