Wicomico Co. Parks and Rec. Honors life of Ed Russ

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Parks and Recreations honored the legacy of one of its own.

On Friday afternoon, the organization unveiled a memorial plaque and renamed a street in Ed Russ’s name. He was a well-loved Parks and Recreation employee.

Attendees said Russ is well deserving of the recognition, and his wife, Deborah said it’s a way to spotlight her husband, who made bettering the county his personal mission.

“He was all about family and he was all about youth and having good sportsmanship,” said Deborah. “He was a very good sport, also, so we hope that that carries on through my grandkids and my great grandkids.”
