Weather Tidbits: Latest Sunrise Under Permanent DST

This edition of Weather Tidbits will be discussing what the latest sunrise times will be across the country if daylight savings time becomes permanent. A consequence of keeping daylight saving time permanent will be for later sunset and sunrise times. In the northwestern portion of the Pacific Time Zone, the latest sunrise time would be 9:00-9:30 AM and 7:30-8:00AM in the southeastern portion. In the northwestern portion of the mountain time zone, the latest sunrise would be between 9:30-10:00AM and 8:00-8:30AM in the southeastern portion. In the northwestern portion of the Central Time Zone, the latest sunrise would be 10:00AM or later and 7:30-8:00AM in the southeastern portion. In the western part of the Eastern Time Zone, the latest sunrise would be 9:00-9:30 AM and between 8:30-9:00 AM in the eastern portion, including Salisbury.
